The bevelled end of the weldolet weld is a unilateral V-shaped bevel, and the form of the weld can be determined as a combination of butt weld and fillet weld.

3. Forged weldolet is the most common branch connection fitting. Its end is beveled and connected with straight pipe butt welding, so it is considered as a butt welded pipe fitting. The design of the forged weldolet minimizes stress concentrations and provides overall reinforcement. There are three pressure grades for forged weldolet: STD, XS and Sch160.
